What Is a Master Culture?
A master culture is a fully colonized agar plate containing lab-isolated, verified mycelium — the genetic foundation of your entire grow operation. Unlike multispore syringes, master cultures give you a known, consistent strain that performs predictably. Transfer to grain spawn, liquid culture, or additional plates to scale your production. Each plate is produced in our CFIA-licensed facility with sterile technique and verified genetics. Store sealed in a refrigerator for 6-12 months, or transfer to our Sawdust Preservation Agar for 2-3+ years of storage.
