Product Details

Black Pearl King Oyster Commercial Liquid Culture (200ml)

Add the unique black pearl king oyster (Pleurotus ostreatus x eryngii) to your commercial production with this 200ml liquid culture jar. This hybrid combines the prolific fruiting of oyster mushrooms with the thick, meaty stems of king oysters — producing a premium product that stands out at market. Lab-isolated genetics from our CFIA-licensed facility in Brantford, Ontario.

What's Included

  • One 200ml mason jar with live black pearl king oyster mycelium in sterile honey-water medium
  • Self-healing injection port for clean, repeated culture draws
  • Synthetic filter cap for gas exchange
  • Lab-isolated Pleurotus ostreatus x eryngii hybrid genetics

How to Use

Draw culture from the jar through the self-healing injection port using a sterile syringe. Each 200ml jar provides enough volume to inoculate a full production batch of grain jars or grow bags.

  • Wipe the injection port with isopropyl alcohol before every draw
  • Draw with a sterile 18-gauge needle and syringe
  • Inject 2-5ml per grain jar or spawn bag
  • Swirl the jar gently before each draw to distribute mycelium

Species Profile

Black pearl king oyster is a cross between Pleurotus ostreatus and Pleurotus eryngii, producing dark-capped mushrooms with thick, white stems that have the dense, meaty texture of king oysters. This hybrid is easier to fruit than pure king oyster — it does not require the same degree of environmental control — while delivering a premium product with excellent shelf life and culinary versatility. It fruits well on supplemented hardwood sawdust blocks.

Why Commercial Size

The 200ml jar format is designed for growers who need to inoculate large batches from a single, genetically consistent source. The self-healing injection port allows many sterile draws per jar, eliminating the cost and inconsistency of using multiple individual syringes across a production run.

Build your workflow with our spawn cases and commercial grow bags.
