Vocalist is our Black Oyster strain (Pleurotus ostreatus), supplied here as live liquid culture in a 3cc syringe. Every culture is produced fresh in-house at our CFIA-licensed facility in Brantford, Ontario.
The 3cc syringe is the easiest entry point — inoculate sterilized grain directly and expand from there. One syringe comfortably inoculates several grain bags or jars.
Multiple strains of the same species share their common and scientific name — what makes this one different is the strain itself. Vocalist is maintained in our culture library and verified clean before anything leaves the lab.
