Product Details

Shiitake 3782 Commercial Liquid Culture (200ml)

Produce cold-weather shiitake mushrooms at commercial scale with this 200ml liquid culture jar featuring strain 3782 of Lentinula edodes. This cold-weather strain is ideal for Canadian farms that fruit in cooler seasons or maintain lower grow room temperatures. Lab-isolated genetics from our CFIA-licensed facility in Brantford, Ontario.

What's Included

  • One 200ml mason jar with live shiitake 3782 mycelium in sterile honey-water medium
  • Self-healing injection port for sterile, repeated draws
  • Synthetic filter cap for gas exchange during storage and transport
  • Lab-isolated Lentinula edodes strain 3782 genetics — selected for cold-weather fruiting

How to Use

Draw culture through the self-healing injection port using a sterile syringe. Each 200ml jar provides enough culture to inoculate a full production batch of grain jars or grow bags.

  • Wipe the injection port with isopropyl alcohol before every draw
  • Use a sterile 18-gauge needle and syringe
  • Inject 2-5ml into each grain jar or spawn bag
  • Gently swirl the jar before drawing to suspend mycelium evenly

Species Profile

Shiitake (Lentinula edodes) is the second most cultivated mushroom in the world, valued for its rich umami flavour and firm texture. Strain 3782 is a cold-weather variety that fruits reliably at lower temperatures, making it well-suited to Canadian growing conditions and farms that produce through fall and winter. Shiitake are traditionally grown on hardwood logs but perform excellently on supplemented hardwood sawdust blocks in a controlled indoor environment.

Why Commercial Size

The 200ml jar format ensures genetic consistency across your shiitake production run. Rather than managing multiple individual syringes, a single jar lets you standardize inoculation across an entire batch of spawn. The self-healing injection port supports many sterile draws, keeping your workflow efficient and contamination risk minimal.

Pair with our shiitake spawn cases and commercial grow bags for a complete production pipeline.
