Stalled-kit troubleshooting
Grow Kit Not Growing? Causes & Next Steps
No visible growth does not identify one cause. Begin with elapsed time and preparation state, then compare what changed—or failed to change—against the species, format, and supplied readiness window.
Keep the whole grow together
Save the first photo now, then add another entry when the stage or condition changes.

Run the evidence checklist
Confirm that the block was actually sold ready to fruit. Record the activation date, species, surface appearance, approximate temperature, placement, moisture pattern, light, fresh-air pattern, and every intervention already attempted.
- Compare elapsed time with the species and product's stated window
- Check whether the opening or fruiting orientation matches the format
- Look for early knots or primordia before assuming nothing is happening
- Separate dryness, saturation, temperature, and fresh-air observations
- Keep dated evidence for supplier support or replacement
02
Avoid stacking interventions
Simultaneously soaking, chilling, moving, cutting, heating, and changing ventilation destroys the ability to learn which condition mattered and can damage a stressed block. Make the smallest context-appropriate change, record it, and allow a meaningful observation interval.
03
Know when to contact the supplier
Contact the seller when the block arrived damaged, dry, uncolonized, discoloured, prematurely fruited, or remains unchanged beyond the supplied window under appropriate conditions. A dated Dr. MycoTek record makes that conversation clearer.
